Violet

Last night we picked up Foster Cat No.11 from the vet's office in Mississauga.  She's the most pitiful looking creature I've ever seen.  Approx. 5 months old, she weighs practically nothing and is all skin and fur.  Well, actually, she's missing a lot of the fur on her back, tail, and hind legs.  The shelter and vet think she was shaved by her previous owners, but no one knows why.

To make matters worse, she's got a nasty case of upper respiratory virus and is confined to the upstairs bathroom so as to not infect the resident pets.  Her nose is so congested she has to breathe through her mouth.  It's a pretty scary thing to see - this poor thing gasping for air constantly.  She's also stopped eating, so I'm force feeding her.  She's on medication and is being quite a little lady about all of this.  Despite her appearance, she's very sweet and trusting and loves to snuggle on our laps.
